Hi everyone, this week's drop features some sculpt-like fractals I created in Mandelbulber a few years back.
I like the shapes of these, they're kinda weird and I turned some of them into brushes at one point which worked well.
Enjoy!

Wow, already a week has passed since my first blog post here. Here's another fractal art drop for your eye-musement.
Prints for FRX-55 & FRX-1437 are available here in my Artstation store: https://www.artstation.com/materialforge/prints
In the coming weeks, I'll give a mini-tutorial on how I use these renders to create seamless texture tiles, and introduce a new FREE pack of textures, brushes, and fractals.
Enjoy this week's drop!

Kicking off a weekly post here on my Artstation blog to house my fractal work (the good, and maybe the bad and the ugly...we'll see...!)
I've been obsessed with fractals since around '94 when I discovered Kai's Power Tools in the back corner of a dimly-lit CompUSA. I didn't have a car (I stupidly spent my money on a Quadra 605 and an FPU upgrade and a copy of RAM Doubler), so I practically ran the half-mile or so to my apartment, fumbled the floppy disk installer into the drive, and didn't sleep for two days.
I'll post some of those early experiments in future installments, but for now enjoy these recent images courtesy of the apps Visions of Chaos & Frax.
Are you a fractal artist, or have you dabbled in these apps? Post a comment or drop a like, and let me know where I can check out your work.
Happy (Fractal) Friday!
